college graduation photos with tong tuan

Tong Yuan is about to graduate from college, so her family helped her celebrate with a Senior Portrait photo shoot! We wanted to achieve easy-going, natural hair and makeup that felt true to her. We also wanted to create a mix of looks that ranged from powerful and editorial, to easygoing and carefree.

These outdoor Portraits were all taken in my studio parking lot in downtown Dallas! Everywhere you turn there are explosions of colors and textures. It's pretty incredible. 

After wrapping up outdoors, we transitioned to some indoor looks. I usually love to add a little bit of lift to hair with a hair fan, but for Tong Yuan, we had a lot of fun intentionally blowing her hair across her face too. 

After Tong Yuan's mom saw her finished Senior Portraits, she booked a mother/daughter photo shoot for the both of them when she comes into town later this month for graduation! I'll update this post with some of those Portraits once they're finished, so stay tuned.
